Premier Inn Köln City Mediapark is housed in the Hansahochhaus high-rise, a 1925 building that was once Europe's tallest. The hotel preserves original style elements throughout, blending history with updated interiors. Guests access the hotel directly from the Saturn parking garage's upper floors, though wheelchair users should use the ground-floor disabled parking and enter via the main entrance.

Rooms & Comfort

The hotel offers a diverse room selection, including standard doubles, family rooms, and superior doubles, many noted for their generous size. Effective double-glazed windows reduce noise from the adjacent railway tracks, while rooms feature satellite TV, air conditioning, and a desk. Private bathrooms come with high-quality toiletries, and guests consistently praise the comfortable beds and spacious layouts.

Premier Inn Cologne City Mediapark sits across from Hansaring train station, providing S-Bahn and U-Bahn links that reach Cologne Cathedral and Cologne Main Station in one stop. The same train line offers direct connections to Cologne/Bonn Airport. Nearby neighborhoods give easy access to cultural immersion, with the Museum of Applied Arts Cologne and the National Socialism Documentation Centre within walking distance.

Dining & Breakfast

The hotel serves a daily breakfast buffet from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., offering scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, cheeses, ham, breads, yogurts, fruit, and fresh coffee. On-site dining continues at the hotel restaurant, which has a limited evening menu, but the surrounding area provides numerous kebab shops and restaurants within a short walk. Guests rate the breakfast variety and quality highly, often describing it as excellent value.

Family rooms at Premier Inn Koln City Mediapark are notably spacious, allowing children to play, and the hotel offers complimentary late checkout options when available.
